We Have a Problem...

I just received Margaret's form. She had contacted me through Chris while in Oregon visiting family. She told me her picks were back in California and she wouldn't be able to get them to me until she returned which was last night. The controversy here is that she rolled with victories while in Oregon. She is well ahead of all of us after last night with a sterling 6 and 2 record. I leave it to the pool though to determine whether her picks should count. Respectfully, the Commish.

Egards! The Commish has thrown down the gauntlet and I have no choice but to respond to this challenge to my honor and integrity. It is true that I submitted my bowl picks late, but on my honor my choices were made using my tried and true, and highly secret, bowl game selection method. At this point I fear I have no recourse but to share this finely honed strategy with the bowl pool members and let them decide for themselves if my rationale is defensible. In doing so I trust that these highly confidential techniques will neither be shared nor copied. So here is how it went down:

Fight Hunger Bowl - I lived in Washington for 9 years and I don't like Mitt Romney. (Yes, it is that simple.)

Pinstripe Bowl - I hate Notre Dame, but Rutgers once roughed up my alma mater Northwestern at the only post-NU game I have ever attended. I hold a grudge.

Belk Bowl - Would RC ever forgive me if I picked anyone other than Carolina?

Russel Athletic Bowl - This is one where I would understand the Commish questioning my pick since I do usually go for the Big 10 schools out of loyalty, but this is a contrarian year, as evidenced by other picks, and Missouri where I grew up, is contiguous to Kansas. I know those farm lads are tough!

There you have it. I now throw myself on the mercy of the bowl pool members. I would add just one more thought for you to consider. I have been playing this game for about 17 years now and not ever won. There is only so much frustration a girl can take before she cracks, but I would never stoop to cheating - probably. Humbly at your mercy, Margaret
